Deputy Minister of Education, Sports and Culture addresses IUM First Student Teachers
Hon. Ester Anna Nghipondoka, Deputy Minister of Education, Arts and Culture delivered a motivational speech to the first intake of IUM student teachers on 07 February 2017at Dorado Park Main Campus.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the important role teachers played in the development of the country and called on student teachers to understand, at the onset, what it entails to be a teacher while they contextualised themselves by looking at the developmental stage of the country in line with global developmental trends.Hon. Nghipondoka said the Ministry appreciates the efforts done by IUM to train teachers which are on high demand, and at the same time humbly requested the university to make it a point to produce teachers who were highly skilled and equipped with life skills which would enable them to contribute effectively to the improvement of the quality and relevance education.
