IUM cements partnership with IDM-Swaziland
In its effort to foster international cooperation in education and research, IUM is cementing its relationship with the Institute of Development Management (IDM) –Swaziland through activities as agreed in its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed two years ago. The MOU aims to foster collaboration in areas of, among others, research and teaching, exchange of information and publications, joint conferences organization, workshops and seminars in the two institutions.nd Hospitality.
IDM is a regional organization in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland (BLS) countries that aims to help meet the management needs of the region through management development activities including training, consultancy, research, and the establishment of a Management Resource Centre.
Through the collaboration, IUM envisages to present research papers during the 3rd Institute of Development Management Research Conference IDMRC 2017, themed Growing Great Minds: Global Competitiveness through Training, Research and Consultancy later this year. The purpose of the conference is to create the opportunity for academics and researchers worldwide to connect and share their recent findings in all aspects of methodological, conceptual, applied or theoretical and applied research in the economic fields regarding new trends and approaches in the context of a knowledge-based economy.
Furthermore, the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kingo Mchombu has been invited to give a keynote address on the theme of Knowledge Management and Entrepreneurship at another Conference that will be hosted by IDM in Namibia.
