When you apply to The International University of Management, the University's Admissions teams will carefully consider your application. Each application is assessed individually and in accordance with our Admissions Code of Practice. The University is committed to treating all candidates fairly, recognising cultural and social diversity and the importance of academic and other achievement in preparing students to undertake their studies.

* Note that all foreign qualifications should be first evaluated by the Namibian Qualifications Authority (NQA) and the evaluation certificate attached to the application.


Normal Entry : At least 25 points in five subjects should have been attained at grade 12 or equivalent.

D in English is required although applications from those with an E may be accepted.  Conditions apply.

In addition to normal entry requirements:

¹Honours Degree In Digital Communication Technology – Applicants must have a C in English and a ‘C’ pass in mathematics.  An interview or aptitude test will be part of the entry requirements.

Honours Degree In Business Information Systems - Applicants must also have a ‘D’ pass in mathematics.

¹Honours Degree In Nursing – The 25 points in five subjects must include Mathematics, Biology and Physical Science.  Mature applicants will be considered if they have at least 18 points at Grade 12 and 3-4 years experience in the health and social services industry.  All successful applicants must register or be registered as nursing students with the Nursing Council of Namibia.  Further conditions may be applied.

¹Honours Degree In Public Policy and Management – A subjects making up the 25 points at grade 12 must have a ‘C’ or higher and include English, Mathematics, and Physical Science.

¹Honours Degree In Education – Educational Leadership, Management And Policy – applicants must already have an NQF level 7 qualification, or and NQF level 6, with at least three years experience.


¹Masters In Business Administration – Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree.


Some professional qualifications or membership of professional institutions may also be taken as equivalent to a first degree if accompanied by relevant work experience.

Additional conditions may be applied.

¹Masters in HIV/AIDS Management – Applicants must have successfully compelted a bachelor degree, or a postgraduate diploma in HIV/AIDS Management with an average of at least 65% and have a minimum of 3 years work experience in an HIV/AIDS related field.

¹Study on these programmes is only available in Windhoek until further notice.

NON- DEGREE PROGRAMMES (Certificate, Higher Certificate and Higher Diploma)

Normal Entry : At least 20 points in five subjects should have been attained at grade 12 or equivalent. D in English is required although applications from those with an E may be accepted.  Conditions apply.  Applicants should also have a pass in Mathematics with a D required for Business Information Systems.

Mature Age/ Work Experience Entry

To be eligible for admission to the Mature Entry Undergraduate Program (MEP) an applicant must meet the following requirements:

1. Must be at least 25 years of age and have passed Junior School Certificate (Grade 10).

2. Must have minimum of 3 years relevant work experience supported by a letter/letters from employers.

3. Must sit an entrance examination, details to be provided on application.

Registration Requirements

· 2 copies of Grade 12 Certificate or Grade 10 Certificate for Mature Entry applicants

· 1 copy of Birth Certificate, ID or Passport

· 2 Passport Photos

· Reference letter from your employer indicating years of experience (for mature entry applicants)
